~~~
The Wicker Park Committee (WPC) is a non-profit organization committed to our neighborhood since 1973.  Working with other community groups, supporters and advocates along with government and business, WPC is an active voice on key local issues.
Responsible development, social and cultural enhancement, recognition and preservation of our local heritage, sensible utilization of zoning, civic improvement, quality education, community safety and protection of our environment are our arenas of interest.   Active engagement with local government and energetic community participation are our tools.  Helping to guide our community’s growth and evolution with common sense about the future and a respect for the past are our goals.  WPC has a special interest in the cultural diversity, artistic character and architectural heritage of the Historic Wicker Park District.
